Additionally, the reduction of carbohydrates contributes to the body’s loss of water weight. Our bodies then start to burn fat for fuel in the absence of extra carbs. Protein-rich foods such as beans, eggs, lean meats and seafood are good choices for this weight loss approach.

Calorie Counting

This dieting strategy brings you to the basics of weight loss. Our bodies are like engines needing calories to act as fuel to keep us running. Food supplies various proteins, fats and carbohydrates; all which contain calories. Once our calorie intake surpasses the amount our bodies convert into physical energy, calories are then stored as fat. The HCG Diet

Also dealing with reduced calorie intake, is the HCG Diet. HCG stands for Hormone Chorionic Gonadotropin, which is a hormone found in pregnant women – produced in large amounts. It is also found in men as well and essentially increases metabolism. HCG can be taken orally or with daily injections and works best with low calorie consumption to help you lose 1 to even 3 pounds a day.
